TechOWL's Community Space at the Institute on Disabilities, on Temple University's main campus, will celebrate its grand opening on Thursday, April 18.

Located on the ground floor of Morgan Hall on Cecil B. Moore Avenue, TechOWL’s Community Space is a place where people can explore tools and technology to discover what works for them.

Visitors to the Community Space will be able to try cutting-edge vision equipment, mobility devices, and other assistive tech options. 3D printing will be in action for creating assistive devices, and visitors can also discover accessible video gaming with the Xbox Adaptive Controller.

The Grand Opening Open House from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. will feature demonstrations, tours, and more. The TechOWL Community Space has a barrier free entrance and an accessible restroom. An ASL interpreter will be available throughout the Grand Opening events. All are welcome to stay for the entire two-hour open house, or they can come for just a quick visit.

Visitors are asked to wear a mask if possible.
