What are some of the things you enjoy about directing your own services and supports?
When you get to choose your own support person, it is good because you can see if your personalities fit. If your personalities don't clash the person is someone to keep.

Tell us about a time when you and your support service professional (SSP) tried something new in your community. Where did you go? What did you do? What did you like about this activity? How did your SSP support you in this new adventure?
One day I went to the park with my support person. While we were there, some of her family showed up because her niece was graduating across the street. It was a total accident, but it was fun because I got to meet new people. They were interesting people.

Is there anything you think is hard or challenging about directing your own services and supports? Tell us about a time that you faced a challenge with your support staff and how you worked through this challenge.
If you don't get along with one support, you can always choose someone new. That is what I did, and I found two great supports!
