PPL In-Person Open House – A Recap with Supports Broker Jennifer Smith

Back in March, Public Partnerships LLC (PPL) hosted its first in-person Open House for Supports Brokers. At the event, Supports Brokers gathered in person to share ideas, concerns, and solutions directly with representatives from PPL.

One of the supports brokers in attendance was Jennifer Smith from Values into Action. Reflecting on the experience of attending the open house, she emphasized the importance of open collaboration.

When asked about her first impression of the event, Jen shared that “it felt great being in the same room with other brokers who were there to share their thoughts and learn.” She explained that the in-person setting encouraged open conversation and allowed brokers to speak freely with PPL representatives about solution-based topics. According to Jen, approximately 15 to 16 supports brokers attended the open house, representing at least three different brokerages.

One of the biggest takeaways for Jen was the responsiveness of the PPL team. “They listened and were very receptive to what every broker had to say,” she explained. “Their response felt genuine, and it felt like PPL is looking to make the necessary changes moving forward.”

Jen also learned that improving technology systems is one of PPL’s top priorities. Following the event, she received an invitation to participate in an IT Committee focused on providing feedback and support for future system improvements.
