FOOD COURT, by Australia's Back to Back Theatre, will be the centerpiece show of the Philadelphia 2012 Live Arts Festival in September. This daring theatrical performance challenges audiences to confront their own definitions of "other" through an unpredictable rollercoaster of digital projections, shadows and emotions. It follows one woman's struggle with bullying, violence, and body image and is performed by a company of artists with perceived intellectual disabilities.

Performances are scheduled for Thursday, September 20, Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22 and will be held at 8 p.m. in the Perelman Theater at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, 1500 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102.

Tickets are $30 and can be ordered online at or over the telephone, 215-893-1999. Use the discount code ARTLOVE online or mention it when purchasing tickets over the phone and receive 20% off tickets to FOOD COURT.

Additional free events about the show and Back to Back Theatre have been scheduled. On September 21, a post-show discussion will introduce the audience to how the show was created.

On September 22, a performance workshop will be held 2 p.m. and at 7 p.m., a pre-performance discussion features psychologist and author Dr. Dan Gottlieb, host of WHYY's "Voices in the Family," on Back to Back Theatre's artistic vision. Contact to participate.
