Stacy Phillips, the Institute’s project coordinator for educational and leadership development, will receive a Neuroinclusion & Neurodiversity award from the Autistic Art Coalition of Philadelphia (AACOP) at its awards ceremony on Friday, February 28 at City Hall, Philadelphia. As part of AACOP’s 5th annual art exhibition, the ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. in Council Caucus Room 401, 4th Floor, NE Corner.
Presented by Creative Philadelphia’s Art in City Hall program and organized by AACOP, the event welcomes neurodiverse communities and allies: “We invite you to see how WE see the world around us, and how we believe Neuroinclusion and Neurodiversity has a place in this world. This event aims to celebrate and promote the neurodiverse talents and perspectives of various Philadelphia resident artists representing a majority of Philadelphia's great neighborhoods.”
Guests are invited to view the art on display on the second and fourth floors of the northeast corner of City Hall after the ceremony.
Featured artists represent the Autistic Art Coalition of Philadelphia, Mural Arts Philadelphia, Liberty Resources, CIS, The Tacony LAB Community Arts Center, Speaking for Ourselves, The Philadelphia Autism Project, Vision for Equality, Supportive Behavioral Resources, and other organizations.
