Sally Gould-Taylor has resigned from the executive director position at the Institute on Disabilities as of March 2, 2026. Sally will be joining the Barnett College of Public Health. We thank Sally for her six years of leadership, advocacy, and service to the Institute on Disabilities (IOD). In her time as executive director, she represented the IOD with our policymakers and various professional communities, expanded the scope of the IOD, and was a fierce advocate for the disability community.
The IOD, in conjunction with the College of Education and Human Development, has launched a national search for a new director. Current projects will continue under existing leadership at the IOD, and project leads will reach out to their respective funders and community partners.
Thank you for your support. If you have questions about the current management of the IOD, please email iod@temple.edu. We are excited to continue sharing knowledge, changing systems and society, and promoting self-determined lives for people with disabilities and their families.
In solidarity,
The IOD Interim Executive Leadership Team
