Everyone has the right to feel confident, respected, safe and in control. Sexual self-advocacy is all about knowing your rights, your body and your voice.

Tips and Activities to Learn and Grow Together

Join in for this fun virtual series for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities hosted by the Healthy Sexuality Project at the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University. Each workshop is full of helpful tips and activities. Participants will explore topics in a safe online space. Learn and grow together!

Your Voice, Your Space: Consent and Boundaries

We’ll talk about:

  • How to say yes or no with confidence
  • How to respect other people’s boundaries
  • What to do if someone crosses a line

Friends, Lovers, and Everyone In-Between: Healthy Relationships

December 11, 2025 from 5 pm - 6 pm

We’ll talk about:

  • What healthy relationships look and feel like
  • How to tell if a relationship is safe and respectful
  • Ways to build trust, communication, and connection

Look at That Bod: Sexual Health Part 1

February 12, 2025 from 5 pm - 6 pm

We’ll talk about:

  • Parts of the body and how they work
  • Safe vs. risky sexual activities

Condoms, Dams, and Pills—Oh My! Sexual Health Part 2

March 12, 2025 from 5 pm - 6 pm

We’ll talk about:

  • How to protect yourself from sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • Learn about common contraceptive methods
