Happy Disability Pride Month!
Disability Pride has been celebrated since 1990, the year the Americans with Disabilities Act became law, and centers the social model of disability.
The IOD showed up for the Disability Pride celebration on Saturday, June 13th, on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia! Staff members chatted with attendees, and shared available resources from the IOD. We had a great time, and are looking forward to the upcoming Disability Pride events in Washington and Pittsburgh!
