Position Summary

The Institute on Disabilities at Temple University learns from and works with people with disabilities and their families in diverse communities across Pennsylvania to create and share knowledge, change systems and society, and promote self-determined lives so that disability is recognized as a natural part of the human experience.

The Administrative Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the operational and administrative functions of the department. This position ensures continuity in essential processes that directly impact student success, faculty support, and compliance with institutional and sponsor requirements. The incumbent will gain specialized knowledge of Temple University systems, policies, and workflows, and is vital to maintaining departmental efficiency and effectiveness.

Education and Experience

  • 2 years of directly related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in Temple University systems, including Banner, TUmarketplace, Concur, etc.
