Panel: Fierce Love and Parental Activism.

A panel of nationally renowned disabilities studies scholars will discuss the history of parent activism, the role parents continue to play in shaping disability policy, and the fierce love required to raise a child with a disability.

The panel will feature two round table discussions about the fierce love required to parent a child with an intellectual disability, or to parent as a person with an intellectual disability. Both discussions moderated by award winning Philadelphia Daily News journalist Ronnie Polaneczky.
