We are all getting older. To age well, we need to be mindful and work for it.

Although we may experience some physical and mental decline with age, we can be physically active and maintain a healthy diet to help us stay fit and mentally sharp as long as we can. We can actively think about our life to search for a deeper meaning in life. Staying socially engaged in community activities and maintaining contacts with our family and friends can enrich our social well-being. We should also remember to seek social and emotional support from others during tough times in life. Finally, we can continue improving our occupational well-being by using our skills and talents through work or volunteer experiences. There is not one recipe to age well. Everyone is unique. Finding activities that we enjoy doing and can enrich all areas of wellness, including physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, emotional and occupational well-being, is the key to successful aging.
