Director, Research and Evaluation
The Director of Research and Evaluation will be responsible for developing and implementing a research and evaluation plan for the Institute on Disabilities and all of its projects.
Responsibilities include the following:
- conducting annual evaluations of the Institute's accomplishments and impacts; establishing an annual research agenda;
- in collaboration with Institute staff, develop research initiatives with existing 30+ programs; conducting quantitative and qualitative Research and Evaluation activities;
- ensuring that all projects have an effective evaluation plan; participating in the conduct of research and evaluation of programs at the Institute on Disabilities;
- and securing funding through grants and contracts for research in areas of interest related to the field of intellectual, developmental and/or other disabilities and assist in peer-reviewed publications of project findings.
This position will also act as the Project Director of the Independent Monitoring for Quality initiative in PA, a significant deliverable under the contract with the PA Office of Developmental Programs. This position will also be responsible for managing the state contract between the Office of Developmental Programs and the Institute on Disabilities.

The Institute on Disabilities at Temple University, Pennsylvania's University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities provides interdisciplinary training, technical assistance, research, and scholarship to enhance the lives of people with developmental and other lifelong disabilities in their communities. The Institute on Disabilities is a Center within the College of Education and Human Development and reports directly to its Dean.
