CDS is a national, web-based learning system designed for people who support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities that the Commonwealth has used since 2003. The IOD will now serve as the statewide administrator of CDS, which along with the purchase of an annual license represents the long-term commitment of ODP to the continuing education of ODP stakeholders. Though CDS contains training modules designed for organizations employing Direct Support Professionals, the information is also very helpful to individuals and family members, the staff they employ, caregivers and allies of people with disabilities.
The IOD will serve as the CDS point of contact for all providers, individuals and families, SCOs, AEs, State Center Training Coordinators, and individuals within ODP and groups identified by ODP. The IOD point person for this registration is Ms. Mary Kay Cunningham who will also support the training and technical-assistance needs of CDS users. Service provider organizations will be charged a fee for learner administrations rights.
The contact details for IOD regarding CDS are as follows:
Email address: CDSPA@temple.edu
Phone contact: 1-866-865-6170
The IOD will create and conduct web-based and face-to-face trainings to promote the use of CDS. In collaboration with ODP, the IOD will develop, facilitate and conduct user groups to encourage the use of CDS among individuals and families, SCOs, AEs, service providers and the various stakeholder groups involved in the work and mission of ODP.
