Ms. Fialkowski directs the Institute’s university-based disability studies education programs, including the Disability Studies Graduate Certificate program where she is an Adjunct Professor. Kate was a Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. Public Policy Fellow at the AAIDD, and the Executive Director of The Arc Maryland. As an American Association of University Women (AAUW) Career Development Grantee, she received her Master of Theological Studies in Biotechnology and Ethics from Catholic University of America. Kate holds a BA in Technical Communication from Bowling Green State University and is working towards her doctorate with a special interest in reader response and disability narratives.
