ADA at 25 - Institute Celebrates Along with Thousands Through the Streets of Philadelphia

The Institute on Disabilities joined thousands, including Liberty Resources, the Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council (PADDC), the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD), The Mayor's Commission on People with Disabilities, and the Office of Councilman Dennis O'Brien in celebration of the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 25 years ago. The crowd gathered first at City Hall and then marched through the city of Philadelphia.

Special guests included retired senator, The Honorable Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), primary author of the ADA and former Pennsylvania Governor and Philadelphia Mayor, The Honorable Edward Rendell.
