Applications now accepted for those interested in early intervention.

The Institute on Disabilities at Temple University is now accepting applications for its innovative program called Competence and Confidence Partners in Policymaking for Children of Families in Early Intervention (C2P2EI)

C2P2 is designed for family members in Pennsylvania who have an infant, toddler or pre-school age child with special needs are eligible to apply. Participants will learn up-to-date information, leadership development resources and skills as well as the local, state and national issues that affect children with disabilities.

The program is free, however, family members must have the desire to learn to advocate for themselves and others and be willing to make a time commitment to attend the sessions.

This year, the four, two-day sessions will be held in King of Prussia, PA. The dates are October 15-16, December 3-4, February 25-26, 2011, April 29-30, 2011.
